Permatex High-Performance Thread Sealant

OEM specified. Formulated specifically for metal, tapered pipe thread fittings, it replaces Teflon tape and pipe dopes. Cures rapidly to withstand up to 10,000 PSI. Prevents galling and protects mated threaded areas from rust and corrosion. Contains PTFE.

Automobile
Suggested Applications: Stainless steel fittings, head bolts into through holes, oil PSI sending units/sensors, oil and coolant lines, intake manifold switches, rear axle fill plug, and fuel fittings.

Motorcycle
Suggested Applications: Timing hole plug, oil hose fitting

Heavy Duty
Suggested Applications: Drain plugs, all tapered fittings

DIRECTIONS:
For best results, clean parts with Permatex Surface Prep activator.
Knead tube of Thread Sealant before use.
Apply sealant to leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free of sealant. Apply to only _?_of a thread turn. It is not necessary to apply to all threads.
Assemble parts and tighten to recommended torque. Refer to Technical Data Sheet for complete information.
NOTE: Permatex Thread Sealant seals threaded metal fittings on hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and cooling systems. It is not recommended for plastics or rubber.
