CONTINENTAL Tire Mountain King 26 x 2.30 BlackChili ProTection TR

Can you make something good even better? Continental has succeeded in doing this with the Mountain 2.3. It is a joint development with the shoe manufacturer Adidas. At the same time, the latter designed the CMTK trail running shoe, which has a sole with a profile similar to that of the Mountain King.
The rearranged lugs improve grip and ride on any surface. Hard and dry soils are worked on by the central bar, while the deep-seated side knobs provide security on rough trails.
The side panel hasn’t been left untouched either. Air leakage problems are a thing of the past. A newly designed bead core adapts optimally to the rim and, with a little experience, can be fitted more easily than its predecessor.

The Mountain King is what can generally be described as an all-rounder. It rolls well on firm ground and also offers good traction in loose to muddy ground. In all situations you can rely on the grip of the MK and will be kept safely on track. From cross-country to all-mountain tours, the MK is ideally suited as a tire for the whole year.

Handmade in Germany

These tires are among the highest quality produced by Continental. They are sewn by hand in the Korbach factory and set special standards in processing and quality.

Black Chili Compound

At Conti, BlackChili means above all that grip, rolling resistance and durability are combined at a level that makes you almost believe in magic. Continental simply uses the very latest and best technologies. Polymers, soot particles and fillers optimized down to the nano range guarantee the unique performance of the BlackChili compound. It revolutionized the basic conflict between grip and rolling resistance. Approx. 30% more grip and a 26% improved rolling resistance compared to the silica compound ensure better performance and safety.
Continental tires consist entirely of this high-quality rubber compound. Thus, the tires can be worn down to the carcass without losing the first-class properties of the rubber!

Protection

The ProTection technology gives the tires a perfect mix of smooth running, grip and puncture protection. It achieves the latter through a continuous additional layer, which increases the resistance to injuries of all kinds. However, this does not reduce the good running properties of continental tires.
